Canadian born artist,
lives and works in Barcelona. He only recently discovered that he is more than one eighth Polish and that his real surname was actually "Swiatkowski". Primarily working with the collage medium, his detailed works of fictional, domestic scenes are meticulously cut and pasted to create uncomfortable yet lighthearted situations and hypothetical performances. Often using old, recycled materials, the delicate collages nudge art history in the ribs. Michael has shown work internationally in galleries in cities including Barcelona, Miami, New York, Hamburg, Portland, Tokyo, and Vancouver. In September of this year he will be taking part in the Fountainhead Residency in Miami.
